Research Experience
Currently a Professor in dependable software engineering at MDU and the leader of the Dependable Software Engineering research group. Served as Director of BITS-Pilani KK Birla Goa Campus (Mar 2015 - Aug 2016). Visiting researcher at Ericsson (Apr 2022 - May 2025) with funding from SSF's strategic mobility program. Had a lead role in many EU/National Projects such as InSecTT, SUCCESS, DAIS, and was the coordinator of large EU-funded projects like EUROWEB, EUROWEB+, and EURECA.
Education
PhD in Computer Science from the University of York, UK, in 1997, for research on schedulability analysis of fault-tolerant systems. Recipient of the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship.
Background
Research interests include real-time systems, fault-tolerant computing, software engineering, functional safety, cyber security, software reliability, and software testing. Over 15 years of industrial experience as a scientist at the Indian Space Research Organization, where he was Head of Software Test and Reliability Engineering.
