Published multiple papers, including articles in the Journal of Imaging Informatics in Medicine. Received several awards such as the USM Nina Bells Suggs Endowed Professorship in April 2019 and the USM College of Arts and Sciences Scholarly Research Award in March 2018.

Research interests include medical imaging and informatics, cardiovascular research: diagnosis, prognosis and treatment (research focus), osteoporosis risk stratification, early diagnosis of senile dementia, early detection of breast cancer, and information visualization.
