Published several papers such as 'Inferring neural activity before plasticity as a foundation for learning beyond backpropagation', 'Predictive coding networks for temporal prediction', etc.
Research Experience
Came back to Bristol in 2004 where he worked as a Lecturer and then a Reader; moved to the University of Oxford in 2013.
Education
Graduated in computer science at Wroclaw University of Technology in Poland; PhD in computational neuroscience at the University of Bristol; worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Princeton University, USA, jointly in the Departments of Applied Mathematics and Psychology.
Background
Research interests: computational neuroscience, particularly in modeling learning processes in the brain, both in the cortex and subcortical regions underlying reinforcement learning. Also investigates how treatments involving brain stimulation can be refined to optimize their effectiveness and reduce side effects.
