His student Raoyuan had two EMNLP Findings papers accepted on cultural analysis and knowledge probing in LLMs; Florian had an EMNLP Findings paper accepted on discovering topic patterns in large text collections; Jesujoba (from Saarland University) had an EMNLP main paper accepted on charting the landscape of African NLP. Florian also had his first ACL paper accepted on probing multilingual discourse generalization.

Background
Research interests include machine learning, natural language processing, and human-computer interaction, focusing on enabling users to comprehensively explain, evaluate, understand, and control the complex behavior of modern LLMs and GenAI models. Interested in developing new technology as well as building bridges from AI to other fields.
