Published multiple journal papers, including 'TTL Model for an LRU-Based Similarity Caching Policy' in Computer Networks, 'Technical Perspective: Can We Uncover Private Backbone Infrastructures?' in Communications of the ACM, among others. Also, co-authored three patents.
Research Experience
Since joining Inria in March 2004, involved in common labs between Inria and Alcatel-Lucent (now Nokia) and between Inria and Alstom Transport. Served on the board of directors of ACM Sigmetrics (July 2019 - June 2023) and in technical program committees of ACM Sigmetrics and MobiHoc, Performance, IEEE Infocom and Globecom, ITC, Valuetools, and WIOPT. Co-chair and treasurer of ACM Sigmetrics/IFIP Performance 2016 conference and co-chair of ITC 36. Currently, an Associated Editor for IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking and Elsevier Computer Communications.
Education
Received Habilitation in 2017 from Université Côte d'Azur, Ph.D. and M.Sc. from Université Nice Sophia Antipolis in 2002 and 1999, respectively, and an Electrical and Electronics Engineering Degree from the Lebanese University in 1998.
Background
Research interests include stochastic modeling and performance evaluation of communication networks. Current research interests also include caching and general performance evaluation. Past research interests include renewable energy in networks and data centers, power saving in wireless networks, evolving forwarding schemes in delay-tolerant networks, peer-to-peer storage networks, and medium access control in wireless networks.
