Published over 180 journal papers (90+ Q10/Q1) and 130+ conference papers (50+ flagship IEEE/AI venues), with 8600+ citations (h-index 43) and top 2% subject ranking since 2020. Key papers include: Nature, Nature Communication, Nature Computation Science, Nature Machine Intelligence. Won IET Innovation Award (2015) and was a runner-up in the Bell Labs Prize three times. PI on over £8.1m and an investigator on over £35m of research funding.
Research Experience
From 2012 to 2019, built an award-winning team at the University of Warwick. Since 2019, joined Cranfield University (Engineering: REF UK 2021 #7, Mech/Aero Engineering: QS Top-35 world 2022-25), where he leads a Centre for Assured & Connected Autonomy. Also leads the Human Machine Intelligence Research Group, working closely with the new £65m Digital Aviation Research and Technology Centre (DARTeC). Has been a Turing Fellow at the Alan Turing Institute since 2017.
