Recipient of the PAMI Mark Everingham Prize, MIT TR Innovators under 35 Asia Pacific, ICBS Frontiers of Science Award, CVPR Best Paper Award Candidate, Asian Young Scientist Fellowship, and Singapore President's Young Scientist Award. His work has been transferred to products such as Microsoft Pix, SenseGo, and Google Clips. He has also given invited talks at various international conferences (e.g., ACM MM, ICCV) and received outstanding paper awards.
Research Experience
Had internships at Microsoft Research and Google Research. Currently, he is an associate professor at MMLab@NTU, Nanyang Technological University.
Education
Received his Ph.D. from the Multimedia Lab, CUHK, between 2013 and 2017, advised by Prof. Xiaoou Tang and Prof. Xiaogang Wang. He was a research fellow at the Chinese University of Hong Kong with Prof. Dahua Lin and a post-doc researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, with Prof. Stella Yu.

Research interests include computer vision, machine learning, and computer graphics. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the College of Computing and Data Science, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
