Academic Achievements
  • May 2025: Awarded the Carole Goble Medal for Outstanding Doctoral Paper in Computer Science at The University of Manchester; March 2025: Journal paper 'Feature-driven Hybrid Attention Learning for Accurate Water Quality Prediction' accepted in Expert Systems with Applications, contributed as the third author; December 2024: Conference paper 'Bottom-Up Reputation Promotes Cooperation with Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning' accepted as a full paper at AMMAS 2025, first author.
Research Experience
  • July 2025: Research visit at the University of Amsterdam, hosted by Fernando P. Santos and funded by the ELIAS Mobility Program.
Education
  • PhD in Computer Science from the University of Manchester, supervised by Prof. Xiao-Jun Zeng and co-supervised by Dr. Ke Chen; MSc in Management Science and Engineering from Wuhan University, graduated in 2022; BSc in Management Information Systems from Wuhan University of Technology, graduated in 2019.
Background
  • Research interests: multi-agent reinforcement learning and its applications to the evolution of cooperation. During his master's program, he investigated the role of social exclusion and expulsion mechanisms in driving the emergence and evolution of cooperation. Currently, he is conducting an analysis to compare the performance of cooperative facilitation mechanisms when applied within the contexts of social learning and reinforcement learning.
Miscellany
  • Open to and actively seeking visiting research opportunities at any time, and postdoctoral positions starting around December to advance his research and foster new collaborations.
