Leads or participates in the work of a research group based in Rome at the Institute for Applied Computing (IAC), which is part of the National Research Council (CNR) of Italy. The research topics cover code optimization and parallelization, General-purpose computing on graphics processing units (GPGPU), HPC for big data analysis, parallel and distributed computing; applied cryptography and cryptanalysis, digital forensics, malware analysis, virtual machine introspection (VMI); as well as anonymity networks, darknets, onion routing, etc.
