Academic Achievements
  • Received ERC-STG 948878 project funding for the project 'Individualized Interaction in Discourse', running from February 2021 to January 2026. Elected as a member of the academy of sciences and literature Mainz. Awarded a Max Planck Fellowship.
Research Experience
  • Currently a professor at the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Language Science and Technology at Saarland University. Leads the IDDISC lab, focusing on individualized interaction in discourse. Starting from January 2024, she will also lead the 'Multimodal Language Processing' research group at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics.
Background
  • Research interests include computational cognitive modeling, experimental psycholinguistics, information-theoretic models of language processing, coherence relations in text and pragmatics, natural language generation, multimodal language processing (language and vision / language and body language).
