Research Experience
Works at Argonne National Laboratory, MCS Division, involved in projects such as ADIC (Automatic Differentiation of ANSI C), ADIFOR (Automatic Differentiation of Fortran 77), automatic differentiation of parallel programs, source code analysis for performance bounds, and domain specific languages for numerical libraries and optimization-based automatic performance tuning.
Education
BS in Computer Engineering and MS in Computer Science from Michigan State University. PhD in Computer Science with a Computational Science & Engineering option at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Advisors: Christian Bischof (now at TU Darmstadt) and Michael Heath (UIUC).
Background
Research focuses on software engineering for high performance scientific applications; areas of interest include automatic differentiation, domain specific languages, and performance engineering.
