Academic Achievements
Received the Best Ph.D. Dissertation Award from the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society (ITSS) in 2020 and the Intelligent Transportation Systems Outstanding Paper Award from the INFORMS Transportation Science and Logistics society in 2021. Published around 30 articles in refereed journals, including Nature, Nature Communications, etc. Organized multiple international conference workshops and served as an editor for several academic journals.
Research Experience
Worked as an Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) and a post-doctoral researcher at the Michigan Traffic Lab. Current research focuses on developing and validating safety-critical machine learning, particularly for connected and automated vehicle testing and evaluation.
Education
Received a Ph.D. in Control Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2019, advised by Prof. Yi Zhang; Visiting Scholar in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, from 2017 to 2019, advised by Prof. Henry X. Liu; B.S. in Automation from Tsinghua University in 2014.
Background
Currently a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Automation at Tsinghua University. Research interests include connected and automated vehicle testing and evaluation, cooperative automation, and traffic environment modeling.
