Published two papers: 'BANSAC: A dynamic BAyesian Network for adaptive SAmple Consensus' presented at the 2023 IEEE/CVF International Conference on Computer Vision; 'A Probability-guided Sampler for Neural Implicit Surface Rendering' scheduled for the 2024 European Conference on Computer Vision.
Research Experience
Worked on the STORESLAM project, which aims to develop accurate agent localization and mapping methods for structured indoor retail store environments. Also designed and implemented a visual SLAM system for an autonomous mobile robot using a single fisheye stereo camera.
Education
PhD student at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) since 2022, advised by Dr. Pedro Miraldo and Prof. José Gaspar. Holds a BSc and MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from IST, with major specialization in Systems, Decision and Control and minor in Computers.
Background
Research interests include computer vision, artificial intelligence, and robotics. Mainly focuses on 3D reconstruction and robust estimation, particularly Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) systems.
