Academic Achievements
Published numerous papers on topics such as database query processing, sorting algorithm optimization, and data warehousing performance. Participated in important academic conference program committees and journal reviews, such as VLDB'15, ACM Transactions on Storage, etc. Also contributed to the Napa project, implementing scalable data warehousing solutions at Google.
Research Experience
During his Ph.D., he worked with Professors Andrea C. Arpaci-Dusseau and Remzi H. Arpaci-Dusseau, focusing on techniques to improve the reliability of cloud systems.
Education
Ph.D. in Computer Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014, advised by Professors Andrea C. Arpaci-Dusseau and Remzi H. Arpaci-Dusseau; B.S. from Hanoi University of Technology (HUT) in 2006.
Background
Currently a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google, managing the F1 database group at the Google Madison office. Research interests include improving the reliability of cloud systems.
