Published multiple papers in international conferences like EMNLP, ACL, NAACL, and has received several awards including the Outstanding Paper Award at EMNLP 2025 and Best Theme Paper Runner-Up Award at NAACL 2025.
Research Experience
Was a post-doctoral research fellow at Blablablab, UMSI; currently engaged in teaching and research at the University of British Columbia focusing on areas such as multilingual speech processing and sign language processing.
Education
Obtained a Ph.D. in Linguistics and Scientific Computing from the Department of Linguistics and the Michigan Institute for Computational Discovery & Engineering at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, advised by Pam Beddor and David Jurgens.

Currently an Assistant Professor at the Linguistics Department of the University of British Columbia, an associate member of UBC Computer Science, part of UBC NLP Group, and an instructor for the UBC MDS-CL Program. Primarily interested in multilingual speech processing, natural language processing, and computational social sciences.
