- Served as a Research Fellow with the Software Engineering Research Group at USM; Senior Lecturer at Salahaddin University; Postdoctoral researcher at the Swiss AI Lab Istituto Dalle Molle di Studi sull’Intelligenza Artificiale, Lugano University, Switzerland; Assistant Professor at Czech Technical University, Prague; Joined Karlstad University Sweden as a Senior Lecturer in 2019, promoted to Associate Professor (Docent) in 2020, and then to full Professor in 2023.
Education
- Received a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Salahaddin University-Erbil in 2004, an M.Sc. from University Putra Malaysia in 2009, and a Ph.D. in Software Engineering from University Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2012.

- Primary research interests include AI engineering, software testing (especially search-based software testing), and computational intelligence. Currently a Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Karlstad University, Sweden.
