Academic Achievements
  • Coordinated or participated in several research projects such as ANR Phorevox (2012-2014), ANR SynPaFlex (2015-2019), Kaligo DYS (2018-2020), H2020 NADINE (2018-2021), etc.; supervised multiple PhD students including David Guennec (2012-2016), Raheel Qader (2014-2017), etc.; collaborated with several postdocs and other researchers.
Research Experience
  • Held an ATER research position at ENSSAT from 2008 to 2009; was an associate professor at ENSSAT from 2009 to 2022; held a full professor position at University of Rennes, ENSSAT from September 2022 to August 2024; since September 2024, has been a Full Professor at IUT of Vannes (University of South Brittany); is part of the Expression research team from IRISA lab; involved in GDR TAL, a research group on language processing aimed at developing interactions in the language processing community.
Education
  • Obtained a master's degree in computer science engineering from ENSSAT and a master's degree in computer science research from Université de Rennes 1 in 2005; defended a PhD in computer science in November 2008; obtained HDR (accreditation to supervise research) from Université de Rennes 1 in 2017.
Background
  • Research interests include speech generation (synthesis, cloning, conversion), prosody modeling and generation, natural language processing and generation, DeepFake detection, anomaly detection, and written and spoken resources development. Specializes in natural language processing with a focus on language generation, particularly text (controlled-text generation, paraphrase, LLM) and speech (synthesis, cloning, and conversion). Completed a PhD in the domain of intonation transformation for speech synthesis and voice transformation at IRISA laboratory Cordial team.
