  • Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Calgary; Vice-President of Engineering and Research at Intelliview Technologies Inc.; Assistant Professor (January 2013) and then Associate Professor (January 2019) at Memorial University; joined the Department of Computer Science, Math, Physics, and Statistics at the University of British Columbia in August 2019 and became an adjunct professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Memorial University.

  • B.Sc. with honors in 1996, M.Sc. in computer engineering in 2001 from Zagazig University, Egypt, and Ph.D. in 2005 from the University of Calgary, Canada.
