Research Experience
Group leader at the Physics of Living Systems Group, Department of Physics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology; research spans experiments, theory, and modeling.
Background
Research interests include how interactions between individuals determine the evolutionary and ecological dynamics of multi-species microbial communities; with a particular focus on alternative stable states, chaotic fluctuations, community assembly, cross-feeding, and the emergence of 'cheater' strategies.
Miscellany
The laboratory is composed of an interdisciplinary group of scientists interested in learning from each other to effectively combine experiments, theory, and modeling.
