Research Experience
Currently an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) at Newcastle University. Welcomes PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers with a strong interest in the following areas: Privacy-Preserving Machine Learning and AI, Theoretical or Applied Cryptography, Secure Multi-Party Computation, Blockchain and Decentralized Systems, Secure Payment Protocols.

PhD in Secure Multi-party Computation (i.e., PSI) from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow; MSc in Computer Science from the University of Leeds; BSc in Software Engineering from the University of Lahijan, Iran; Diploma in Mathematics and Physics from Iran.

Main research interests include information security, privacy, and cryptography. Current research interests include: Privacy-Preserving Machine Learning (such as Federated Learning), Bank and Payment Fraud/Scam, Cryptanalysis, Financial Technology (FinTech), Developing Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) and Privacy-Preserving Data Sharing.
