Received multiple awards including the 2025 DARPA Director’s Fellowship Award, 2023 DARPA Young Faculty Award, 2021 NSF CAREER Award, 2021 Facebook Research Award, 2023 Cisco Research Award, 2020 and 2023 IBM Faculty Awards, 2016 IEEE Communications Society Young Author Best Paper Award, 2020 ACM/IEEE IPSN Best Research Artifact Award, and 2011 IEEE Communications Society Award for Advances in Communications.
Research Experience
Prior to her position at Duke, she was an Associate Research Scholar and Associate Director of the EDGE Lab at Princeton University's Department of Electrical Engineering, working with Prof. Mung Chiang. After her Ph.D., she worked as an Engineering Program Manager at D. E. Shaw Research and a Senior Strategy Consultant at IBM Corporate Headquarters Chief Economist’s Office.

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, advised by Prof. Gil Zussman; B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, Canada.

Research interests: Internet of Things, fog and edge computing, energy harvesting, and mobile augmented reality. Bio: Currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Department of Computer Science at Duke University.

Outside of work: She is a runner and triathlete, having competed in over 70 races including 3 marathons, 3 Escape from Alcatraz triathlons, and an Ironman triathlon.
