Recipient of the 2021 Daniel Guinier Prize from the French Physical Society; several papers accepted for publication, including work on Bilinear Sequence Regression with the SPOC group at EPFL published in Physical Review X, and joint work with A. Bandeira on the ellipsoid fitting problem published in the Electronic Journal of Probability; paper on fundamental limits of matrix sensing accepted at COLT 2025.
Research Experience
Was a Hermann-Weyl Instructor at FIM (Institute for Mathematical Research) and the Department of Mathematics at ETH Zürich from 2021 to 2024, mentored by Afonso S. Bandeira; currently a research scientist at Inria Paris.
Education
Earned his PhD in Theoretical Physics from Ecole Normale Supérieure de Paris in 2021, supervised by Florent Krzakala, with additional guidance from Lenka Zdeborová.
Background
Research interests lie at the intersection of high-dimensional statistics, probability theory, statistical physics, information theory, and random matrix theory. He is a research scientist in the ARGO team at Inria Paris and DI ENS.
Miscellany
Runs a blog named Randomstrasse101 focusing on open problems; always happy to hear from motivated prospective students.
