Research Experience
Currently a Research Scientist at DeepMind, working with Martin Riedmiller's team. During his Ph.D., he focused on the acquisition of physical intuition and its utilization in robot learning. He was a visiting student researcher at the Stanford Vision Lab, involved in the VisualGenome project, supervised by Fei-Fei Li.
Education
Ph.D. from Oxford University, supervised by Ingmar Posner at the Oxford Robotics Institute (ORI) and Andrea Vedaldi at the Visual Geometry Group (VGG). Obtained a Diplom degree in Computer Science from Dresden University of Technology, supervised by Carsten Rother.

Miscellany
In his spare time, he enjoys long walks, hikes, swimming, skiing, archery, listening to music, and playing the piano. He is also very passionate about playing computer and tabletop games. He was a member of an indie developer team called PhoenixTales, where they worked on their own 3D Action-Role-Playing-Game, Phoenix.
