Research Experience
- September 2007 to April 2013: Senior Software Engineer at Samsung Electronics, contributed significantly to the development of multimedia and AI agent applications for mobile devices.
- May 2013 to February 2019: Worked at SK Telecom, dedicated nearly six years to advancing speech recognition research and leading the development of commercial voice agent services.
- March 2019: Joined LG Corporation group, and became one of the founding members of LG AI Research in December 2020.
- Since December 2020: Serves as Head of LG AI Research, leading cutting-edge AI technology research and developing AI-driven solutions to optimize corporate decision-making and operational efficiency.
- December 2022 to June 2025: Led the Applied AI Research Group at LG AI Research as Vice President, focusing on time-series forecasting, anomaly detection, etc.
- July 2025 - Present: Continues to serve as Head of LG AI Research.

Education
- Earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University (SNU) in 2000; followed by a Master’s (M.S.) and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the same institution in 2002 and 2007, respectively.
