Involved in multiple NSF-funded collaborative research projects, including collaborations with Dimitris Metaxas (Rutgers University) and Matt Huenerfauth (RIT).
Research Experience
Director of the American Sign Language Linguistic Research Project (ASLLRP), involved in several NSF-funded research projects, including computer-based sign recognition, development of annotation software for visual language (SignStream®), and applications to benefit the Deaf community and ASL users and learners.
