Life Fellow of the IEEE, recipient of the 2024 IEEE Medal for Environmental and Safety Technologies. Published numerous journal and conference papers, supervised dozens of graduate students. Active volunteer within the IEEE Signal Processing Society and BOG's committees.
Research Experience
Joined the faculty of Engineering at Tel Aviv University in 1986, where she is currently Professor Emerita in the school of Electrical Engineering. Co-founder of the startup company ClimaCell (2016).
Education
Received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University (TAU), Israel, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Yale University.
Background
Research interests include statistical signal processing for environmental monitoring; detection and parameter estimation theory; multi-sensor signal processing. Held leading positions such as Chief Scientist at the Ministry of Science, Vice President for Research at TAU, President of the Open University, and Vice Chair of the Council of Higher Education, Israel.
