Published multiple papers such as 'VulLibGen: Generating Names of Vulnerability-Affected Packages via a Large Language Model' (ACL 2024), 'HateModerate: Testing Hate Speech Detectors against Content Moderation Policies' (NAACL 2024 Finding), and received the ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Paper Award.
Research Experience
Serves as an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science of Stevens Institute of Technology, mentoring several PhD students and alumni in NLP for security research.

Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, advised by Prof. Chengxiang (“Cheng”) Zhai and co-advised by Prof. Tao Xie; B.S. in Interdisciplinary Information Sciences (Yao Class) from Tsinghua University, China.
Background
Research interests include natural language processing, text mining, information retrieval, and their application to software engineering and security. Currently an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science of Stevens Institute of Technology, actively looking for PhD students and post-docs working on NLP for SE/Security.
