Background
- Main research interests are in the investigation and implementation of new techniques in evolutionary computation and machine learning. Specifically, using evolutionary computation-based techniques to solve problems across various fields including feature selection, Bayesian networks, pattern recognition, and ensemble methods. In machine learning, the focus is on developing applications for real-life issues such as detecting and predicting neurodegenerative diseases through handwriting analysis, writer identification in ancient manuscripts, and water pollution detection.
