Background
Astrophysicist, Machine Learner, Entrepreneur. Currently, Group Leader at Cosmology X Data Science, CCA, Simons Foundation, and Professor at the Department of Physics & Center for Data Science, NYU, with a visiting appointment at Princeton University. She led the first application of deep 3D convolutional neural networks in astrophysics and has since pushed forward the adoption of modern deep learning methods within the astrophysics community. Recently, she focuses on creating foundation models for science and developing novel techniques in interpretable machine learning.
