- He was an Associate Professor at the University of Alicante from 1999 to July 26, 2025; he then became a Professor from July 27, 2025, to the present. From May 16, 2013, to January 31, 2019, he served as Deputy Director of Infrastructures and Spaces at the Polytechnic School. From February 1, 2019, to May 11, 2021, he was the Academic Coordinator of BEng Robotics Engineering.

- He obtained his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Alicante in 2002.

- His research interests include deep learning, robotic grasping, tactile perception for intelligent robotic manipulation, and automatic disassembly. He has been a member of the AUROVA group since 1999 and is currently a Full Professor at the University of Alicante in the area of Systems Engineering and Automation.
