He has authored more than 180 scientific papers and 100 patents (Google Scholar citations: 10,000+). He is the recipient of the Invention Award of Royal Philips and listed in World's Top 2% Scientists. He has served as Associate (or Guest) Editor for scientific journals, including IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, Pattern Recognition, and IEEE Trans. on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology.
Research Experience
Representing Philips, he was involved in multiple European and Dutch research and innovation projects, for example, Marie-Curie fellowship. He has organized several international conferences and workshops, and served as Technical Program Committee and reviewer for numerous international conferences and journals.

Received the B.Eng. degree from the University of Science and Technology of China, the M.Eng. degree from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the PhD degree from Queen Mary, University of London.
