Launched PyGGi software for predicting glass properties; introduced the first material-aware language model, MatSciBERT; released the first large language model for materials, LLaMat.
Research Experience
Leads the M3RG research group, focusing on solving problems in areas such as natural language processing, information extraction, atomistic simulations, continuum modeling, robotics, and experiments. Aims to address grand challenges including climate change, energy, sustainability, and healthcare.
Background
Research interests include multiphysics and multiscale mechanics, understanding the response of materials across different length and time scales using machine learning, artificial intelligence, physics-based modeling, and experiments. The goal is to develop an end-to-end framework for materials discovery from design to deployment, to accelerate and democratize materials discovery.
