Academic Achievements
  • Developed a new instructional OS capable of running multiple applications, including Mario and DOOM, on a multicore processor starting from bare-metal hardware. Conducted research on RWKV model to run under $30 hardware with less than 3 Watts power consumption. Also, worked on Whisper streaming on Macbook Air with about 7 Watts SoC power. Organized the 1st LLM workshop at UVA. Published several papers on OS kernels, deep learning on mobile/wearable devices, and more.

  • Worked at Purdue for six years before joining UVA. Currently an Associate Professor and William Wulf Faculty Fellow in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Virginia.
