Developed a new instructional OS capable of running multiple applications, including Mario and DOOM, on a multicore processor starting from bare-metal hardware. Conducted research on RWKV model to run under $30 hardware with less than 3 Watts power consumption. Also, worked on Whisper streaming on Macbook Air with about 7 Watts SoC power. Organized the 1st LLM workshop at UVA. Published several papers on OS kernels, deep learning on mobile/wearable devices, and more.
Research Experience
Worked at Purdue for six years before joining UVA. Currently an Associate Professor and William Wulf Faculty Fellow in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Virginia.
