Academic Achievements
Won the ISPOR Award for Excellence in Application of Pharmacoeconomics and Health Outcomes Research in 2014 for her work on Methods to assess cost-effectiveness and value of further research when data are sparse: Negative-pressure wound therapy for severe pressure ulcers.
Research Experience
Involved in various research projects such as Methods for estimation of the NICE cost-effectiveness threshold, NICE STA: Fingolimod for the treatment of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis, etc.
Education
Holds an MSc in Biostatistics awarded by the University of Lisbon in 2008 and a PhD on 'Making best use of evidence for explicit decisions in health care' awarded by the University of York in 2017.
Background
Research interests are related to the development and application of statistical, econometric, and decision analysis methods in all components of health technology assessment. Served as a member of the NICE Technology Appraisal Committee between 2011 and 2017.
Miscellany
Acts as a pharmacoeconomic expert for INFARMED in Portugal since 2017 and joined the General HTA Programme Funding Committee in 2020.
