Research Experience
Currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science at Aarhus University. Previously, he was a Research Associate at the Center for Geoscience (GFZ) in Potsdam and a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Hasso Plattner Institute, in the Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining group, working with Emmanuel Müller. Currently co-supervising several students in their research.
Education
PhD in Computer Science from the University of Trento, dbTrento group, under the supervision of Themis Palpanas and Yannis Velegrakis. During his PhD, he visited Yahoo! Labs, Barcelona, and Microsoft Research Asia, Beijing.
Background
Research interests: graph exploration, which lies in the broad areas of database, data mining, and machine learning. Particularly enjoys working and understanding graphs with or without labels interactively, understanding phenomena and users in a principled way.
