Research Experience
He is a Professor in Health Technology at the Department of Computer Science, University of Tromsø, and the principal investigator in the Health Data Lab. Currently, he teaches Operating Systems (inf-2201) in the spring semester and Concurrent and System Level Programming (inf-2202) in the fall semester.
Background
His research goal is to build and experimentally evaluate infrastructure systems that support the methods under development by his bioinformatics collaborators. They are designing and implementing systems for big data management, reproducible analysis, machine learning, and data interpretation. He is primarily interested in improving the scalability and interactivity of bioinformatics analysis methods and frameworks.
