Research Experience
Teaches a Bachelor course on Fundamentals of Data Analysis and a Master Course on Deep Learning. Supervised more than 30 bachelor and master theses and is currently supervising 8 PhD students.
Background
Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Catania, and a member of the Image Processing Laboratory (IPLAB). His expertise lies in Computer Vision and Machine Learning, particularly in perceiving, understanding, and anticipating human actions and interactions from an egocentric viewpoint to enable assistive technologies on wearable devices.
