Academic Achievements
Recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science for three periods (up to 2024) of six years of research work, and by the University of Granada for three periods (up to February 2020) of five years of teaching activity. Conducted a research stay at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell’Informazione of the University of Pisa during summer 2009. Post-doctoral research stay at the Broadband Wireless Networking Lab headed by Prof. Akyildiz at Georgia Tech.
Research Experience
Work Experience: Worked in the field of mobile communications at leading manufacturers such as Nokia Networks, Optimi/Ericsson, and Siemens. Academic Experience: Started as an Assistant Professor at the University of Granada in 2006, participated in several research contracts in the area of 4G/5G mobile communications. Served as Head of the Department of Signal Theory, Telematics and Communications at the University of Granada (February 2019 to March 2023). Currently co-director of the WIN-NET-LAB laboratory (approved by the Governing Council of the University of Granada in May 2025), responsible for the 'Information Processing and Communications' Thematic Unit, and part of the Government Commission of the Research Center on Information and Communications Technologies (CITIC) since November 2023. Has held various roles with the State Research Agency.
