Research Experience
  • Currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at The University of Iowa; previously a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Computing at the University of Connecticut; and a postdoc at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Education
  • Ph.D. from Northeastern University, China; supervised by X. Sharon Hu during a visit to Notre Dame; Postdoc at the University of Connecticut, working with Song Han; Postdoc at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, working with Nan Guan.
Background
  • Research interest: real-time cyber-physical systems, especially those subject to stringent timing and reliability requirements. Application areas include industrial internet-of-things (IIoT), autonomous vehicles, avionics, etc. Current research focuses on the resource management and scheduling framework design/analysis/implementation for emerging IIoT systems, including industrial 5G, time-sensitive networking (TSN), and wireless sensor-actuator networks (WSANs). The general research goal is to make real-time cyber-physical systems deterministic, reliable, and secure.
Miscellany
  • Actively looking for self-motivated master/PhD students and interns to work on real-time cyber-physical systems.
