Papers accepted to WACV 2026, CoRL 2025, IROS 2024; Best Cognitive Paper Finalist at IROS 2024; involved in projects such as AnySafe, UNISafe, etc.
Research Experience
Before joining CMU, was a research officer at the Defense AI Center of the Agency for Defense Development (ADD), researching uncertainty-aware navigation in complex and unknown environments; currently a PhD student at the Robotics Institute at CMU.
Education
PhD: Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), advised by Prof. Andrea Bajcsy; Bachelor's degree: Computer Science and Engineering at Seoul National University (SNU), Summa Cum Laude.
Background
Research interests: Developing uncertainty-aware robotic systems that ensure safety and robustness in complex, open-world environments. Focuses on the theoretical foundations and algorithms for quantifying uncertainty in learning-based robotic systems and leveraging control-theoretic and information-theoretic principles to mitigate it.
