Research Experience
Served as a research assistant at the Chair of Digital Image Processing, University of Jena since 2009; From 2015 to 2021, worked as an academic counselor and acting head at the Chair of Remote Sensing Methodology, TUM; Since 2021, has been a senior lecturer and deputy head of the chair; Acting professor and acting head of the chair since 2022.
Education
Diploma in Computer Science from Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena in 2009; Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat.) under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Joachim Denzler at the same university in 2015 with a thesis on 'Methods for Model-based and Model-free Recognition of Articulated Actions in Multi-View Environments'; Habilitation (Dr. rer. nat. habil.) at TUM in 2021, gaining the right to teach in 'Machine Learning and Computer Vision'.
