- He has been the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of China Telecom since 2023, and the director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence (TeleAI) of China Telecom (2024). Prior to that, he was a full professor at Northwestern Polytechnical University (2018-2023), a full professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2009-2018), a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader at the University of London (2004-2009), a Lecturer at the University of Ulster (2003-2004), and held positions at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The University of Hong Kong, Microsoft Research, and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.
