Academic Achievements
- Published more than 700 papers in peer-reviewed journals (with ~80,000 citations and H-index 138). Recognized as Highly Cited Researchers by Clarivate Analytics since 2014. Received numerous awards, including the National Natural Science Prize of China (2016) and the National Award for Young Scientists of China (2011).
Research Experience
- Joined the faculty at Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics (SINAP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2004, where he holds a position of CAS Distinguished Professor. Since 2018, he has been a K. C. Wong Chair Professor, New Cornerstone Investigator, and Dean in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), and Executive Dean of the National Center for Translational Medicine.
Education
- Received B.S. and Ph.D. from the Department of Biochemistry at Nanjing University in 1996 and 2000, respectively. Conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB).
