Background
Computer Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Research interests lie in performance optimization and resiliency for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems and applications.
Focuses on designing new runtime systems, including scheduling policies, I/O middleware, fault tolerance mechanisms, and resource sharing policies.
Recently working on computational data science in HPC, with a special focus on irregular applications.
Interested in understanding the computational and I/O needs of emerging fields that deviate from traditional HPC/Cloud models, such as neuroscience and bioinformatics.
Also interested in data-intensive computing and the convergence of HPC, Big Data, and Machine Learning.
