Academic Achievements
Won the Best Paper Award at the Learning for Dynamics and Control Conference (L4DC) in 2022; selected as a Robotics: Science and Systems (RSS) Pioneer in 2020; doctoral thesis won the School's Outstanding Thesis Award.
Research Experience
Currently a postdoctoral fellow at the College of Connected Computing, Vanderbilt University; previously a postdoc at the Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University. Conducted robotics research at NVIDIA's Seattle Robotics Lab during his PhD. Performed machine learning research at CSIRO during his undergraduate studies.
Education
PhD: School of Computer Science, University of Sydney, supervised by Fabio Ramos and closely worked with Lionel Ott (now at ETH Zurich); BEng: University of Auckland (First Class Honours).
Background
Robotics and Embodied AI researcher. Main research interests include robot perception and action in unstructured environments, as well as their coordination.

Will be joining the School of Computer Science at the University of Sydney as a tenure-track faculty (US: Assistant Professor, UK/AUS: Lecturer) in early 2026.
