Team member Ben received Best Student Paper and Outstanding Reviewer awards at ISMIR 2025; multiple papers accepted at various international conferences; Dr. Vjosa Preniqi became the first PhD graduate from the lab; released several research outcomes such as BRAVE, MCP Server for Max, etc.
Research Experience
Leading the Communication Acoustics Lab (COMMA Lab); hosted in the Centre for Digital Music (C4DM) at Queen Mary University of London.
Background
Research interests blend machine learning and AI with experimental (hypothesis-led) and creative (discovery-led) research practices to understand different modalities of experience and interaction between the digital music “user” (listeners, performers, producers) and music/sound as a multimodal semiotic system.
