Academic Achievements
- Contributed to standardization committees such as JPEG Pleno and MPEG and has been co-chairing Qualinet TF7 since 2021. Serves as an Associate Editor of IEEE TCSVT. Received Best Paper Awards from PCS 2024 and NAB 2025. Played an active role in organizing conferences, special sessions, workshops, and tutorials at leading international events, including IEEE ICME 2025, IEEE QoMEX 2025, ACM MM 2025, etc.
Research Experience
- Previously a Postdoctoral Researcher with the ATHENA project, funded by the Christian Doppler Laboratory in collaboration with its industry partner Bitmovin. Also involved in EmergIMG, a Portuguese consortium focused on emerging imaging technologies, funded by the Portuguese funding agency and the EU Horizon 2020 program.
