Academic Achievements
Focused on interworking between 4G and 5G topics covering dual connectivity procedures and measurement coordinations, participated in the development of face detection and recognition platform, and implemented it in Raspberry Pi. Also worked on automatic robotics, building a robot simulation environment under ROS platform to verify algorithms such as path planning and obstacle avoidance in a practical warehouse scenario.
Research Experience
Worked as a researcher at Huawei's 2012 Laboratories Future Network Theory Lab from Sept 2015 to Aug 2017, leading the theory group on algorithm design and performance analysis of next-generation wired and wireless network, led the theoretical working group of the Application-Driven Network (ADN) project, and managed collaborations with CalTech and Cornell University. Later worked with ASTRI on 3GPP standardizations for future wireless 5G and AI-based system design.
Education
Obtained B.Eng. in Information and Communication Engineering from Zhejiang University (ZJU) in 2010; obtained Ph.D. from Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST) in 2015, supervised by Prof. Vincent K. N. LAU.
Background
Research interests include cross-layer delay-sensitive resource allocation, stochastic optimization and dynamic programming, and dynamic control for wireless communication systems. Involved in various industrial projects such as cooperative MIMO communications and Heterogeneous networks.
Miscellany
Believes that math is the right tool and the only one if one wants to make some fundamental changes in the computer networking area.
