Conducts research on speech accessibility and captioning technology at RIT and is a member of the Center for Accessibility and Inclusion Research Lab (CAIR).

Ph.D. candidate in the Computing and Information Sciences Program at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), co-advised by Matt Huenerfauth and Roshan Peiris; Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Campinas, advised by Paula Costa.
Background
Research interests include developing innovative approaches to captions to enhance the experience for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing users. Focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Computing Accessibility, aiming to improve the expressive quality of captioned content through affective, prosodic, and haptic captions.

Co-founder of Preface, a design studio based in Campinas, Brazil, working on various educational projects since 2007 and has won several awards for design work.
