Academic Achievements
Recipient of the 2013 IEEE Vehicular Technology Society Jack Neubauer Award, the 2024 IEEE Signal Process. Letters Best Paper Award, and the 2025 IEEE VTS Jack Neubauer Award. Served as an Associate Technical Editor for IEEE Communications Magazine from 2012 to 2020, and as a Senior Associate Editor for IEEE Signal Processing Letters from 2018 to 2022. Currently an Associate Editor for IEEE Trans. Vehicular Technology, and a Member of the IEEE SPS Sensor Array and Multichannel TC. Published multiple high-impact academic papers.
Research Experience
From January 2007 to December 2010, was a research associate with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Stevens Institute of Technology. Joined the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 2011.
Education
Received B. Sc. and M. Sc. degrees from Xidian University, Xi'an, China, and a Ph.D. degree from the National University of Singapore. Was a postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Duke University in 2006.
Background
Research interests include millimeter wave and THz communications, sparse theory and compressed sensing, variational Bayesian inference and deep neural networks, detection and estimation theory.
